Description
ADHESIVE ARALDITE 420 A/B 1.4KG/1400ML — BOLTON SKU 54703.
About the adhesive araldite 420 a/b 1.4 kg kit
Araldite 420 A/B is a two-component epoxy paste adhesive from Huntsman Advanced Materials, cured at room temperature by mixing the resin (A) and hardener (B) components. It is characterised by high strength combined with high toughness: the formulation delivers very high lap-shear and peel strength with good moisture resistance, which distinguishes it from brittle general-purpose epoxies and underpins its long-standing use in structural bonding. The manufacturer positions it for bonding metals, honeycomb core and fibre-reinforced composites, making it a common choice in aerospace repair and assembly work. A bond line of roughly 0.05–0.10 mm gives the greatest lap-shear strength; at 25 °C the mixed adhesive gels in around 3–4 hours and bonded parts can typically be handled after about 5 hours, with full properties developing as cure completes. Shelf life in original sealed containers is up to 36 months at 2–40 °C. This listing is the 1.4 kg (1400 ml) two-part kit.

Typical applications
Toughened structural epoxies of this class are used for airframe and interior bonding, composite repair, honeycomb panel work and metal-to-composite joints in aerospace and UAV manufacturing and MRO. They also serve demanding industrial bonding where peel and impact resistance matter.
