621-10001 NA0/1-MET-ML is a HellermannTyton three-pronged expansion tool used to fit expandable markers, sleeves and grommets onto cables and wires. The working method is simple: the marker or sleeve is slid over the three prongs, the pliers are squeezed to open it, the tool is pushed over the cable, and releasing the grip leaves the marker seated on the conductor. The NA0/1 size covers cables from 1.25 mm to 1.75 mm diameter, with a maximum application diameter of 10.5 mm and a maximum marker length of 28 mm. The MET-ML designation denotes all-metal construction, which stands up to repeated production use better than a polymer-bodied tool, and the prongs are replaceable so a worn or bent set can be changed without scrapping the pliers.
