In Schneider’s TeSys LRD numbering the digits after the prefix point to the trip current band the relay is set within, so an LRD350 is selected against the motor’s full-load current rather than against the contactor alone. Overload relays of this type clip beneath the LC1D contactor they protect and trip the control circuit on sustained overcurrent.
