Actuator with Valves

A valve actuator is a mechanical device that operates a valve by using a power source. This source of power can be electric, pneumatic (compressed air), or hydraulic (the flow of oil). Actuators are classified into two sorts, one for each of the two types of valves that require them. They are rotational and linear in nature.
