About the Stahlwille 11030002 Increaser Piece
The Stahlwille 11030002 Increaser technical component is the smallest step in the square-drive adaptor range, carrying a 1/4 in drive square on one side and a 3/8 in drive square on the other. Stahlwille lists it under order number 11030002. It allows a 1/4 in ratchet, screwdriver handle, extension or small torque wrench to drive 3/8 in sockets and accessories. The adaptor changes the coupling only: the 1/4 in tool behind it still sets the practical torque ceiling, and the fastener specification governs how much of that should be used. Because 1/4 in drive tooling is physically small, this adaptor is most often used to gain access rather than to gain capacity — the slim 1/4 in head reaches the joint while the 3/8 in socket provides the required hex size.

Typical applications
This 1/4-to-3/8 step suits electronics racks, avionics trays, control panels and light mechanical work where a compact 1/4 in ratchet is the only tool that fits the space but the fastener needs a hex size stocked only in the 3/8 in range. It is also used with 1/4 in flexible and wobble extensions to bring a 3/8 in socket onto a fastener behind cabling or ducting. Small calibrated 1/4 in torque wrenches use it to reach 3/8 in bit sockets for documented low-torque tightening.
