Description

Fluke 287 True-RMS Electronics Logging Multimeter — BOLTON SKU 50461.

About the Fluke 287 True-RMS Electronics Logging M Test

Fluke 287 True-RMS test equipment is the logging bench-and-field multimeter built around a 50,000-count, quarter-VGA display and a 0.025% basic DC voltage accuracy. Beyond conventional measurement it records: the instrument stores up to 15,000 events, and TrendCapture lets the logged data be reviewed graphically on the meter itself, with zoom up to 14 times, so an intermittent fault can be characterised without carrying a laptop to the equipment. Measurement coverage runs to 1000 V between any terminal and earth ground, current to 10.000 A continuous (20 A for 30 seconds), resistance to 500 MΩ at 0.05% accuracy, capacitance to 100 mF at 1.0% basic accuracy, and frequency at 0.005% basic accuracy. Power comes from six AA alkaline cells giving a minimum 100 hours of standard operation and around 200 hours in logging mode.

Typical applications

The combination of a 50,000-count display and 0.025% DC accuracy is aimed at electronics work where a general-purpose meter would not resolve the difference being investigated: calibration checks, precision reference and supply-rail verification, and component-level fault diagnosis. The logging and TrendCapture side is what gets it deployed on intermittent problems — leaving the meter connected to a suspect rail or sensor line for hours and then reading the trace back on the instrument. The 500 MΩ resistance ceiling also suits insulation-related and leakage checks on low-current circuits.
