Description
3M 8511 N95 Particulate Respirator (10 pcs/pack) — BOLTON SKU 54060.
About the 3M 8511 N95 Particulate Respirator 10
The 8511 is a lightweight, disposable cup-shaped respirator from the 3M 8000 series, NIOSH-approved to the N95 classification for at least 95 per cent filtration efficiency against certain non-oil-based airborne particles. It is fitted with the 3M Cool Flow exhalation valve, which vents warm, moist exhaled breath out of the facepiece — the feature that distinguishes this model from unvalved members of the same series and the reason it is specified for long wear periods in hot, dusty conditions. Sealing is managed by an adjustable M-noseclip and by braided two-strap headbands with dual-point attachment. The filter media uses highly charged microfibres to capture airborne particles. The respirator is a single-use item and is supplied here in packs of ten. 3M classes the 8000 series as industrial and occupational equipment.

Typical applications
The valved N95 format is chosen for dust-generating work carried out over extended shifts — grinding, sanding, sawing, sweeping, bagging and similar operations — where an unvalved mask becomes uncomfortably warm. Because the classification covers non-oil-based particulates only, it is not the right selection where oil mists or vapours are present. Respirator selection and fit testing should follow the employer’s occupational hygiene assessment.
