Description
ISO7380 M3x8-A4 SCREW M3x8 Hexagon socket Button Head — BOLTON SKU 60122.
About the ISO 7380 Hexagon Socket Button Head
This item is a hexagon socket button head screw to ISO 7380, thread size M3, 8 mm nominal length, in A4 austenitic stainless steel. ISO 7380 is the international standard for button head screws with a hexagon socket drive: a domed, low-profile head with a large bearing surface, driven with a standard hex key. The button head suits applications where a lower head profile and a cleaner appearance are wanted than a full cap head provides, while the socket drive allows assembly in confined spaces. The A4 material grade in the designation refers to the acid-resistant austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum stainless steel class of the ISO 3506 fastener-material system, the grade generally selected for improved corrosion resistance in harsher or marine-influenced environments. Dimensions, head geometry and mechanical properties are controlled by the referenced standards rather than by a single manufacturer.
