About the Screw M2x8 A2 Stainless Steel ISO
This item is a hexagon socket countersunk head screw to ISO 10642, thread size M2, 8 mm nominal length, in A2 austenitic stainless steel. ISO 10642 is the international standard for countersunk (flat) head screws with a hexagon socket drive: the conical head seats into a matching countersink so that the screw finishes flush with, or below, the surface of the joined part, while the socket drive allows controlled tightening with a hex key in confined spaces. The A2 grade in the designation refers to the austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel class of the ISO 3506 fastener-material system, the general-purpose corrosion-resistant grade for metric fasteners. At M2 this is a miniature fastener size used in compact equipment and instrument assemblies. Dimensions, head geometry and tolerances are controlled by the referenced standard rather than by a single manufacturer.
