About the Flap Wheel 50 x 20 P60
This item is an abrasive flap wheel of 50 mm diameter and 20 mm face width in P60 grit. Flap wheels consist of overlapping flaps of coated abrasive cloth arranged radially around a hub; in use the flaps wear away progressively, continuously presenting fresh abrasive so the cutting action and surface finish stay consistent through the life of the wheel. The flexible flaps follow contours, fillets and internal radii that rigid grinding wheels cannot reach, and the smaller 50 mm diameter suits confined areas and finer detail work. P60 is a medium-coarse FEPA grit appropriate for deburring, weld blending, rust and coating removal and pre-finish surface conditioning. Mounting style and maximum operating speed depend on the specific manufacturer’s construction and should be confirmed at quotation stage.
