Description
Rescue Tape Military | 1” X 12’ | Silicone Rubber | Black — BOLTON SKU 56056.
About the Rescue Tape Silicone Rubber Tape
Rescue Tape is a self-fusing silicone rubber tape: it carries no adhesive, but when stretched and wrapped over itself it fuses into a solid, seamless silicone layer that creates an airtight, waterproof seal. This roll is 1 inch wide by 12 feet long in black. The manufacturer’s technical data sheet lists a service temperature range of -85 °F to 500 °F (approximately -65 °C to 260 °C), a tensile strength of 950 psi, and electrical insulation capability up to 8,000 V, with resistance to fuels, oils, acids, solvents, salt water and UV exposure. Because the tape bonds only to itself, it can be removed cleanly and applied over wet, dirty or irregular surfaces where adhesive tapes fail. It is widely used for emergency hose and pipe sealing, electrical insulation, and wrapping of cables, tools and fittings.
