About the Plain Washer M6 ISO 7089
This item is a plain (flat) washer for M6 fasteners manufactured to ISO 7089, the international standard for normal-series plain washers without chamfer. Washers of this pattern are placed under a bolt head or nut to spread the clamping load over a larger bearing area, protect the surface of the joined part from damage during tightening, and bridge clearance holes. ISO 7089 defines the washer’s inside and outside diameters, thickness, tolerances and hardness classes for each nominal fastener size, so parts supplied against the designation are dimensionally interchangeable between manufacturers. ISO 7089 is the metric successor to the widely referenced DIN 125A pattern and is the default general-purpose flat washer in European and international mechanical design.
