About the Dykem 83316 Torque Seal Paste, Red 1oz
DYKEM Cross-Check (Torque Seal) 83316 is a tamper-proof inspection marking paste supplied in a 1 oz (approx. 29.6 ml) tube, in red. A stripe of the paste is applied across a torqued fastener and its adjoining surface after tightening; once dry, the brittle mark visibly cracks or breaks if the fastener rotates, giving an immediate indication of vibratory loosening or tampering. The manufacturer states the paste dries to the touch in about 30–40 minutes with full cure over several days, adheres well to metal and other substrates, is highly visible in ambient light and fluoresces under UV inspection lamps. Cross-Check marking is a standard quality-assurance practice for torque verification on assembled hardware, and the marks provide a simple visual audit trail between inspections.
