About the eSun PETG Black 1.75mm 1KG Spool
PETG is glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate. eSUN describes it as a high cost-performance material with water resistance, chemical resistance and high toughness, tougher than ABS, giving a smooth printed surface and printable as easily as PLA with no temperature chamber required. The technical data sheet gives recommended printing parameters of 230–250 °C extruder temperature, a 75–90 °C build platform, 40–100 mm/s printing speed and 100 % fan, measured on a 0.4 mm nozzle; eSUN also advises turning on Z-seam alignment and slowing the print if stringing appears. Published material properties include a density of 1.27 g/cm³ and a heat distortion temperature of 64 °C. The filament is held to ±0.05 mm dimensional accuracy, and a 1 kg spool of 1.75 mm material runs to roughly 350–355 m. This line is the black variant. As with all hygroscopic filaments, store it sealed with desiccant and dry it before use if it has been open in humid conditions.

Typical applications
PETG is a workhorse for functional printed parts: jigs, fixtures, protective covers, cable guides, brackets and enclosure prototypes. In workshop and MRO settings it produces fit-check models, temporary tooling and replacement non-structural parts; in UAV and payload integration it is used for mounts and housings where a tougher alternative to PLA is wanted. The 64 °C heat distortion temperature sets a practical ceiling — printed parts should not be relied on in hot enclosures or in the sun — and printed parts are never a substitute for qualified components in load-bearing or airworthy applications.
