Description
1076469 CSK SCREW SOCKET HEAD M3X8 SS FT A2 — BOLTON SKU 60987.
About the 1076469 Countersunk Socket Screw, M3x8 A2
Bossard article 1076469 is a flat countersunk head screw with an internal hexagon drive, in the M3 x 8 mm size, listed to the DIN 7991 standard against the Bossard BN 616 range, with a coarse M3 thread of 0.5 mm pitch and a 2 mm hexagon key drive. DIN 7991 covers hexagon socket countersunk head screws: the conical head is designed to sit flush with, or below, the surface of a countersunk hole, so the finished joint presents no protrusion. The item designation records the screw as fully threaded and in A2 stainless steel, the standard chromium-nickel austenitic grade of ISO 3506 used where general corrosion resistance and non-magnetic behaviour are wanted. The small hex drive keeps the head compact, which is why this form is used on covers, faceplates and any surface that must remain smooth after assembly.
