The Stanley Tylon Short Tape Measure 8m (model STHT36195) carries an 8 m / 26 ft steel blade, 25 mm wide, printed with both metric and imperial graduations. The blade wears Stanley’s Tylon polymer coating, which outlasts plain lacquer for durability and abrasion resistance, and its matte finish reduces glare for easier reading. Measurement starts from a self-adjusting, three-rivet true-zero end hook that compensates its own thickness for accurate inside and outside measurements, and the blade meets EC Class II accuracy — a tolerance of about ±0.5 mm at 1 m. A positive blade lock holds extension securely, the return spring mechanism is protected against dust, and the compact bi-material case adds a cushioned grip and belt clip in Stanley’s yellow/black colours.
