The 5108MAX air die grinder is a straight pneumatic die grinder from Ingersoll Rand, rated at 0.4 hp with a free speed of 25,000 rpm and fitted with a 1/4 in collet. Typical applications
At 25,000 rpm with a 1/4 in collet the grinder takes carbide burrs, mounted points and small abrasive wheels for deburring, weld dressing, porting and edge breaking. Its light weight and short body suit work inside structures, housings and pipework where a longer tool cannot be presented squarely to the surface. Lube-free operation makes it appropriate ahead of painting, bonding and non-destructive testing, where oil carry-over would contaminate the surface.
