This item is the M3 x 8 mm size of the ISO 4762 hexagon socket head cap screw, called out in the A4-80 property class. ISO 4762 sets, for M3, a maximum head diameter of 5.50 mm and a maximum head height of 3.00 mm, with a 2.5 mm hexagon socket drive; the M3 coarse thread pitch is 0.5 mm. The standard is the current equivalent of the older DIN 912 designation still seen on legacy drawings. Typical applications
