About the Bossard 1076493 Countersunk Screw M3x16, A2
Bossard article 1076493 countersunk socket screw is a countersunk (flat) head screw with a hexagon socket drive, an M3 coarse thread and a nominal length of 16 mm, supplied fully threaded in A2 austenitic stainless steel. Fully threaded means the thread runs from the tip right up to the underside of the head, so the screw can be used at short effective grips and in tapped holes where engagement begins close to the surface; there is no plain shank section to bottom out against a thin plate. The countersunk head sits flush in a matching conical seat, leaving the outer face of the joint clear. A2 is the chromium-nickel austenitic group in ISO 3506-1, which resists atmospheric and mild chemical corrosion without plating and is the usual default for indoor and general-purpose stainless fastening.

Typical applications
M3 x 16 mm fully threaded countersunk screws are used on instrument faceplates, hinge and catch hardware, small covers and internal brackets where the head must finish level with the surface and the tapped depth is shallow. Full threading is convenient in build shops that hold one length across several joint thicknesses. A2 stainless keeps the fastener compatible with stainless nuts, washers and panels in the same assembly.
