Description
O-Ring 45 mm ID x 2.5 mm CS, NBR, 70 Shore A, Black — BOLTON SKU 69184.
About the O-Ring 45 mm ID x 2.5
This is a metric-series O-ring with a 45.0 mm inside diameter and a 2.5 mm cord cross-section, which gives a nominal 50.0 mm outside diameter. The compound is NBR — nitrile butadiene rubber — moulded to 70 Shore A hardness and supplied black. Nitrile at 70 Shore A is the default elastomer for hydraulic and pneumatic sealing because it resists mineral oils, greases and most fuels while staying soft enough to conform into a groove and stiff enough to resist extrusion at moderate pressures. The relatively slim 2.5 mm section is a shallow-groove size used where radial space is limited. Standard nitrile compounds work over roughly -30 °C to +100 °C; confirm the exact compound limits and any fluid compatibility requirement when you request a quotation.

Typical applications
A 45 mm bore with a 2.5 mm cord is a common static face and radial seal size for pump and valve bodies, filter housings, gearbox covers, hydraulic port plates and instrument enclosures in that diameter class. The nitrile compound suits mineral-oil hydraulics, compressed air and fuel-wetted joints; it is not the right choice for phosphate-ester fluids, ketones or sustained high-temperature service, where an alternative elastomer should be specified on the RFQ.
