Typical applications
A 0.6 mm brass nozzle is the usual fit for functional and draft printing where throughput matters more than the finest detail: jigs and fixtures, tooling aids, enclosures and brackets, and large or thick-walled parts that would take far longer through a 0.4 mm bore. It is well matched to unfilled thermoplastics such as PLA, PETG, ABS and ASA. For carbon-, glass- or metal-filled filaments a hardened nozzle should be specified instead, since those fillers will wear a brass bore.
