The Q8F5BZZRYG02E LED panel indicator belongs to APEM’s Q8 professional grade panel-mount LED range. It fits an 8 mm mounting hole and uses a flush bezel in a black finish, with a 5 mm diffused lens. The device is a tri-colour unit combining red, yellow and green emitters in one body, so a single aperture can carry a three-state annunciation. Typical forward voltages are 2.0 V on red, 2.2 V on yellow and 2.1 V on green, with luminous intensities of 15 mcd, 10 mcd and 6 mcd respectively; no series resistor is fitted internally, so external current limiting must be provided by the circuit. Maximum reverse voltage is 5 V. Connection is via rear epoxy-potted wire terminals rather than solder tabs. Typical applications
An 8 mm IP67 indicator with potted rear leads is chosen for control panels, junction boxes and vehicle or shelter consoles where wash-down, dust ingress or vibration would defeat a solder-tab device. The tri-colour construction lets one aperture show normal, caution and fault states, which is useful where front-panel real estate is scarce. Since no resistor is fitted, the harness or driver board must set forward current, and the differing forward voltages across the three colours should be accounted for when sizing those resistors.
