Description
Araldite Standard Epoxy Adhesive 180 g — BOLTON SKU 53347.
About the Araldite Standard Epoxy Adhesive 180
Araldite Standard Epoxy Adhesive 180 g is the slow-setting version of the classic two-component Araldite epoxy, supplied as separate resin and hardener totalling 180 g that are mixed immediately before use. Once mixed, the adhesive gives an extended working time — manufacturer and retailer literature quotes roughly 45 minutes of usable time at room temperature — allowing parts to be aligned, clamped and adjusted before the cure advances. The cured joint is rigid and solvent-free, resists water and many common chemicals, and bonds a broad range of rigid substrates including metals, ceramics, glass, wood and many hard plastics. Slow-cure epoxies of this type build handling strength over several hours and approach full strength within about a day at room temperature, which suits structural repairs and assemblies where maximum joint strength matters more than speed of set.

Typical applications
Araldite Standard is used for workshop structural bonding and repair: fixing brackets and fittings, rebuilding worn assemblies, bonding dissimilar rigid materials and general maintenance gluing where a long open time lets complex parts be positioned accurately. The slow cure is preferred over rapid grades whenever joint strength and positioning time take priority.
