This Socket Hexalobular Cap Screw M6 x 60 is a stainless steel machine screw made to ISO 14580, the international standard for hexalobular socket cheese head screws. It has an M6 metric thread, a 60 mm nominal length and a fully threaded shank, and is produced in A2 austenitic stainless steel — the 304-type grade — for general-purpose corrosion resistance. The cheese head is cylindrical with a flat top and sits proud of the surface or inside a counterbore, while its hexalobular (six-lobe) internal drive transmits installation torque efficiently with minimal cam-out and low tool wear compared with cross-recess drives. A2 stainless fasteners suit indoor, atmospheric and general outdoor service; for high-chloride or marine-immersion environments the A4 grade is normally specified instead.
