Description
Cross Recessed Countersunk Screw M2 x 8 A2 Stainless Steel ISO 7046-2 — BOLTON SKU 54687.
About the Cross Recessed Countersunk Screw M2
ISO 7046-2 covers cross-recessed countersunk flat head machine screws. This Cross Recessed Countersunk Screw M2 variant carries the standard metric coarse thread for M2 (0.4 mm pitch) at a length of 8 mm, and is made in A2 austenitic stainless steel (304-type) for corrosion resistance without plating. The 90° countersunk head sits flush with the surface when driven into a matching countersunk hole, leaving no protrusion, and the cross recess accepts standard cross-point driver bits for controlled assembly at this miniature size. Being a plain machine-thread screw, it mates with tapped holes or M2 nuts. At this miniature size the cross recess gives the driver bit positive centring, which reduces slippage and surface damage during hand assembly, and the flush-finished head leaves the surrounding panel surface smooth for adjacent components, labels or sealing faces.
