About the C10-118PKG Safe-T-Cable Kit
The Safe-T-Cable Kit C10-118PKG is a Daniels Manufacturing Corporation (DMC) fastener-retention cable kit containing 50 Safe-T-Cable assemblies of 0.022 in diameter and 18 in length, supplied with one cartridge of 50 crimp ferrules. The cable is made from 321 corrosion-resistant stainless steel, and the Safe-T-Cable system meets AS3510, AS4536 and AS567. Each ferrule is preloaded in a disposable cartridge and is extracted by threading the cable end through it, ready for termination with a DMC Safe-T-Cable application tool, which tensions the cable and crimps the ferrule in one controlled operation. The system is an engineered alternative to hand-twisted safety lockwire, giving a repeatable, tool-controlled installation. DMC notes that extra cable length is needed to engage the tool’s tension mechanism — about 8 in for a 3 in nose tool and 12 in for a 7 in nose tool.
