The M3 Hex Lock Nut Stainless Steel A2 offered under this SKU is a metric locking hexagon nut with an M3 × 0.5 coarse thread, manufactured in A2 austenitic stainless steel — the 304-type grade widely used for corrosion-resistant fastening hardware. A lock nut resists rotating loose under vibration and cyclic loading, so joints keep their preload better than they would with a plain hexagon nut of the same size.
