This Hex Socket Cap Head Screw M5x16 is a fully threaded (‘FT’) metric cap screw with an M5 × 0.8 coarse thread and 16 mm nominal length, manufactured in A4 austenitic stainless steel. A4 is the molybdenum-bearing 316-type grade, specified in place of A2 where chlorides, salt spray or coastal and marine atmospheres would pit standard stainless — a routine requirement for equipment operating in the Gulf environment. The full-length thread gives maximum engagement in tapped holes at this short length, and the internal-hexagon cap head installs with a standard Allen key in counterbored or space-limited locations where external-hex tooling cannot swing. Like the other cap screws in this range it is supplied loose in quoted quantities, with material certification available on request at the quotation stage.
