About the ISO 7093 Plain Washer M12-A4 12×37 Large
The ISO 7093 Plain Washer M12-A4 12×37 is a large-series flat washer for M12 fasteners in A4 (316-type) stainless steel. ISO 7093, the large-series washer standard corresponding to DIN 9021, specifies for the M12 size a 13 mm hole, a 37 mm outside diameter and 3 mm thickness — an outside diameter roughly three times the nominal bolt size, which is the defining feature of the series. That oversized bearing face spreads clamping load over soft, thin or slotted material, protecting sheet metal, glass-fibre panels, timber and oversized holes from being crushed or pulled through when the bolt is tightened. Used under the head or nut of the A4 hexagon screws elsewhere in this range, it keeps the whole joint in one matching corrosion-resistant grade for exterior and marine-adjacent installations where mixed metals would invite galvanic trouble.
