About the ISO 4032 Hexagon Nut M10-A4
The ISO 4032 Hexagon Nut M10-A4 is a style 1 metric hexagon nut with an M10 × 1.5 coarse thread in A4 (316-type) austenitic stainless steel. ISO 4032 dimensions for M10 give a 16 mm width across flats and a maximum nut height of 8.4 mm, driven with standard 16 mm spanners and sockets. As the general-purpose full nut of the metric system, it is proportioned to develop the strength of a matching bolt thread when the joint is properly preloaded, which is why it is the default nut wherever no special locking or flange feature is called for. The A4 grade is selected for chloride-exposed and marine-adjacent service where standard A2 stainless can pit, and it pairs directly with the A4 ISO 4017 screws and ISO 7093 washers offered in the same fastener family.
