This Socket Head Cap Screw M6x12 A4 is a short-length M6 hexagon socket cap screw in A4 stainless steel, dimensioned to ISO 4762 (equivalent to DIN 912). The M6 size runs a 1.0 mm coarse thread pitch and carries a 10 mm maximum head diameter, 6 mm head height and 5 mm internal hexagon drive. At only 12 mm nominal length — two thread diameters — it is the compact end of the M6 range, intended for shallow tapped holes and thin clamped members where a longer screw would bottom out. A4 is the molybdenum-alloyed austenitic stainless family of ISO 3506 (316 type), giving stronger resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride-bearing atmospheres and washdown regimes than A2 stainless. The cylindrical head recesses neatly into a standard counterbore, keeping the fastened surface flush and protected.
