Description
Hex Button Head Screw M3x12 A4 Stainless Steel ISO 7380-1 — BOLTON SKU 57573.
About the Hex Button Head Screw M3x12 A4 Stainless
This Hex Button Head Screw M3x12 A4 is a stainless steel button head socket screw made to ISO 7380-1, the part of the standard covering hexagon socket button head screws with reduced loadability. The M3 thread uses a 0.5 mm coarse pitch; the domed head is 5.7 mm in diameter and a slim 1.65 mm high, driven by a 2 mm hex key. Twelve millimetres of nominal length provide ample reach through thin panels into tapped bosses or nut plates. Because the head and socket are deliberately reduced, this style is not intended to develop the full preload of a cap screw — it is chosen for its neat, snag-free dome and minimal stack height. A4 austenitic stainless steel (316 type in the ISO 3506 family) adds molybdenum for better pitting resistance in chloride-exposed, coastal and washdown service than standard A2.
