Description
Hex Cap Head Screw M4x12 A4 Stainless Steel DIN 912 — BOLTON SKU 57578.
About the Hex Cap Head Screw M4x12 A4 Stainless
The Hex Cap Head Screw M4x12 A4 is an M4 x 12 mm hexagon socket head cap screw in A4 stainless steel to DIN 912, interchangeable with ISO 4762. Standard M4 geometry applies: 0.7 mm coarse pitch, 7 mm maximum head diameter, 4 mm head height and a 3 mm hex key drive. The 12 mm nominal length is the mid-point of BOLTON’s M4 cap-screw listings — three diameters of available engagement, enough for reliable tapped joints in aluminium without the extra protrusion of the 16 mm size. Cap screws remain the strongest-driving of the socket-head family because the full-height cylindrical head carries a deep hexagon recess, and they seat cleanly in counterbores for flush assembly. The A4 grade is the 316-type molybdenum-alloyed austenitic stainless of ISO 3506, preferred over A2 wherever chloride pitting or crevice corrosion is a realistic failure mode.
