Description
Hex Socket Head Cap Screw M5x12 A4 Stainless Steel ISO 4762 — BOLTON SKU 57583.
About the Hex Socket Head Cap Screw M5x12 A4
This Hex Socket Head Cap Screw M5x12 is an ISO 4762 cap screw in A4 stainless steel — the standard cylindrical-head, internal-hexagon pattern also known as DIN 912. Its M5 thread has a 0.8 mm coarse pitch; the head is 8.5 mm in maximum diameter and 5 mm high, and it takes a 4 mm hex key. The 12 mm nominal length keeps the joint envelope short, matching shallow tapped holes and thin clamped plates. Seated in a counterbore, the head finishes flush with the surface, protecting it from knocks and giving assemblies a clean face; tightened in the open, it still needs only top-down hex-key access, which is what makes this format the default in dense mechanical layouts. A4 austenitic stainless steel (molybdenum-bearing, 316 type per the ISO 3506 family) resists chloride pitting and crevice attack better than A2, suiting outdoor, coastal and washdown duty.
