Description
Hex Socket Head Cap Screw M5x70 A4 Stainless Steel ISO 4762 — BOLTON SKU 57582.
About the Hex Socket Head Cap Screw M5x70 A4
The Hex Socket Head Cap Screw M5x70 is a long-reach ISO 4762 (DIN 912 pattern) cap screw in A4 stainless steel: an M5 thread on a 70 mm nominal length, fourteen diameters long. The head geometry is the standard M5 set — 8.5 mm maximum diameter, 5 mm height, 4 mm internal hexagon — with a 0.8 mm coarse thread pitch. Long cap screws of this proportion are used to reach through deep components, spacer tubes, stacked housings or thick insulation to a tapped member far below the surface, tasks that short screws simply cannot span. Thread length along the 70 mm shank follows the manufacturer’s execution of the standard and can be confirmed at quotation. A4 austenitic stainless steel (316-type, molybdenum-bearing per the ISO 3506 family) protects the long exposed shank against chloride pitting in marine-adjacent, chemical and washdown environments.
