This Socket Head Cap Screw M6x60 A2 is manufactured to DIN 912 / ISO 4762, the standard for hexagon socket head cap screws with cylindrical heads. It carries an M6 x 1.0 coarse metric thread over a 60 mm nominal length. The standard defines a 10 mm head diameter and 6 mm head height for this size, driven by a 5 mm hex key or bit — a compact head that fits counterbores and lets screws be fully recessed below the surface of the mating part. The internal drive allows higher installation torque than slotted or cross-recess screws of the same size and can be driven where there is no clearance for an external socket or spanner. The material is A2 austenitic stainless steel (304 type), the general-purpose corrosion-resistant fastener grade for atmospheric and light industrial service.
