This Socket Head Cap Screw M3x14 Stainless item follows ISO 4762 (equivalent to DIN 912), the standard for hexagon socket head cap screws with cylindrical heads. It carries an M3 x 0.5 coarse metric thread over a 14 mm nominal length; the standard gives the M3 size a 5.5 mm head diameter and 3 mm head height with a 2.5 mm hexagon socket. The cylindrical head recesses cleanly into a counterbore, and the internal hex drive transmits more torque than slotted or cross-recess drives at this small scale while allowing access in confined locations where only a key can reach. The 14 mm length is an intermediate option in the M3 range, passing through a component and washer stack into a tapped hole or nut with thread to spare.
