About the Makita RT0700C Trimmer
The Makita RT0700C Trimmer is Makita’s 710 W compact trimmer router for edge and detail routing work. Its motor runs from 10,000 to 30,000 rpm with electronic variable speed, soft start to suppress start-up torque reaction, and constant speed control that holds cutter speed under load for a consistent finish. Bit holding is by collet, with 6 mm and 6.35 mm (1/4 in) capacities commonly supplied for this model, and the slim 89 mm body is sized to be gripped in one hand for freehand trimming. The tool weighs approximately 1.8 kg at 89 x 89 x 200 mm and operates on 220-240 V mains. Depth setting is by a rack-and-spindle adjustment in the base. The RT0700C body also accepts Makita’s optional base attachments for this platform, extending the same motor unit to plunge, tilt and offset duties.
