This is a worm-drive hose clamp manufactured to DIN 3017, the German standard governing worm-drive clamp dimensions, band widths and performance requirements. This size adjusts across a 70–90 mm clamping diameter range. The material is A4 stainless steel — the 316 austenitic grade — which under the DIN 3017 material classification corresponds to the W5 grade (all components in 316 stainless), the highest corrosion-resistance class in the series and the usual choice for marine and chemically aggressive environments. DIN 3017 clamps use a captive worm screw engaging the band to draw the clamp tight evenly around the hose, and the standard calls for features such as rolled band edges to protect the hose surface during tightening.
