The 3794813 Press-In Threaded Insert M4 provides an M4 internal thread in a very short 3 mm brass body, as stated in its designation. Press-in inserts are set by pressing into a prepared hole so the body locks against the parent material and presents a serviceable metal thread. What distinguishes this variant is the combination of a full-size M4 machine thread with an overall length of only 3 mm: it is selected for very shallow bosses, thin mouldings and space-constrained stack-ups where thread depth is severely limited but a standard M4 screw must still be retained.
