Description
Analog Devices AD8495CRMZ Type-K Thermocouple Amplifier, MSOP-8 — BOLTON SKU 67021.
About the AD8495CRMZ Type-K Thermocouple Amplifier, MSOP-8
The Analog Devices AD8495CRMZ Type-K Thermocouple Amplifier is a precision conditioning IC that converts a small Type-K thermocouple signal directly into a high-level analogue output of 5 mV per degC. It combines an integrated ice-point (cold-junction) reference with a precalibrated amplifier, and the AD8495 grade is laser-trimmed to match the characteristics of K-type (chromel-alumel) thermocouples — removing much of the external circuitry and calibration normally needed for thermocouple front ends. The device operates from a single supply that can be under 3 V, and temperatures below 0 degC can be measured by offsetting the reference input. It can act as a standalone thermometer output or as a setpoint controller. This variant is supplied in an 8-lead MSOP package and is rated for -40 to +125 degC operation.

Typical applications
Used wherever a Type-K probe must feed an ADC or control loop with minimal signal-chain design effort — engine and exhaust monitoring rigs, process ovens, test benches and portable instruments. The low single-supply requirement suits battery-powered measurement equipment.
