This Screw Torx Socket Pan Head 2.5 x 8 follows WN 1452, a works standard for PT-style thread-forming pan head screws with a hexalobular (Torx) drive intended for direct fastening into thermoplastics. It is the 2.5 mm nominal diameter size in an 8 mm length, manufactured in A2 austenitic stainless steel. At this small diameter the hexalobular recess is a real assembly advantage: it transmits driving torque over six lobes, resisting cam-out and recess wear on production lines and during repeated service access. The 8 mm length gives a mid-range engagement for standard-height plastic bosses — enough thread contact for a secure joint while keeping the boss short enough to mould cleanly.
