The Stahlwille 08130008 T8 x 1 4″ bit drives internal TORX (six-lobe) screws of size T8 and belongs to Stahlwille’s 1412 bit series. Its 1/4 in hexagon shank conforms to DIN 3126 / ISO 1173 form C 6.3, so it seats in any standard 1/4 in bit holder, bit-holding screwdriver, bit ratchet or power-tool chuck with the corresponding retention. The six-lobe TORX geometry transmits torque through the flank faces of the recess rather than a wedging action, which lowers the radial bursting force on small screw heads and reduces cam-out compared with cross-recess drives — the reason the system dominates small-fastener assembly in electronics and equipment manufacture. The bit is made from tool steel; T8 is one of the smaller sizes in the series, matched to miniature TORX screws.
