About the Airseal-2 Tacky 3mm x 12mm x 15m
Airseal 2 is a vacuum-bag sealant tape from the Airtech consumables range, used to seal bagging film to the mould or tool face when composite parts are processed under vacuum. This is the Tacky grade, which Airtech formulates with higher tack than the standard version — helpful for adhesion in cooler working conditions and on harder-to-stick surfaces — while retaining the firm feel and clean removal the product line is known for. Each roll has a 3 mm x 12 mm cross-section and runs 15 m, and the tape is packed 20 rolls to a box. Airtech’s catalogue data for Airseal 2 lists a maximum use temperature of 150 °C, covering room-temperature and medium-temperature cure cycles. The tape is pressed around the bag perimeter to form an air-tight seal for infusion or bag-and-breather work.

Typical applications
This tacky-grade tape seals vacuum bags for resin infusion, wet lay-up debulking and prepreg cures within its temperature rating, in composite manufacture and repair shops. The higher tack helps the bead grab quickly on cool tools and in air-conditioned lay-up rooms where standard tapes bond slowly.
