The Ingersoll Rand 5102MAX Right Angle Air die grinder is an industrial-duty air tool from Ingersoll Rand’s MAX series, delivering 0.4 hp with a free speed of 20,000 rpm. The right-angle head places the abrasive perpendicular to the tool body so the operator can work in confined spaces and flat against surfaces where a straight die grinder cannot reach. It is supplied with a 1/4 in collet, takes air through a 1/4 in NPT inlet at a rated 90 psi (6.2 bar) working pressure, and exhausts to the rear, away from the workpiece. A spindle lock allows quick one-wrench changes of burrs and quick-change disc holders, and Ingersoll Rand lists the motor with lube-free vanes, removing the need for daily airline oiling.
