This CSK Hex Socket Head M3 fastener is a countersunk (CSK) head screw with an M3 x 0.5 metric coarse thread, 10 mm nominal length and a full thread to the head, manufactured in A2 (304-type) austenitic stainless steel and referenced to ISO 14581, the standard for countersunk flat head screws with an internal drive. The countersunk head sits flush with, or below, the surface of a countersunk hole, leaving no protrusion above the joint face. A2 stainless offers good corrosion resistance in atmospheric and general industrial environments without coating, and is non-magnetic in the annealed condition. Full threading maximises thread engagement in thin materials, where a plain shank would leave too few engaged threads.
