Description

VACVALVE 509 0.25″ BSP — BOLTON SKU 53745.

About the VACVALVE 509 0.25″ BSP

The VACVALVE 509 0.25″ BSP is a two-piece through-bag vacuum valve from Airtech’s vacuum bagging consumables range, in the 1/4 in BSP connection size. The base plate sits under the bagging film and the top piece threads into it from above; per Airtech’s product data, the threaded connection is designed to perforate the bagging film as the top piece is inserted, so the film does not need to be cut before installation — removing a step where bag punctures and leaks are commonly introduced. Airtech states the Vac Valve 509 operates in vacuum bagging applications from room temperature up to 260 °C, which covers wet layup, prepreg oven cure and autoclave cycles within that limit. The flat base is designed for easy placement under the bag film, and the simple two-piece format keeps bagging plumbing economical.
