This item is pure nickel strip with a cross-section of 0.1 mm thickness by 5 mm width and a stated nickel content of 99.6%. Pure nickel strip in this thickness range is a standard conductor and interconnect material: it combines good electrical conductivity with corrosion resistance and tolerance of elevated temperatures, and it takes resistance spot welds readily, which is why it is the conventional choice over plated-steel strip where joint quality and long-term corrosion behaviour matter.
