About the Model 313 HD Clamping Panel Vise
This model pairs a standard vise head with a heavy-duty clamping base. The head carries nylon jaws 2.5 in (63.5 mm) wide and 0.5 in (12.6 mm) tall that open to 2.25 in (57.1 mm). Nylon jaw material is electrically insulating and holds work without marking it, which is why this pattern is chosen for circuit boards and finished assemblies. A single control knob releases the head for movement in three planes — 90 degrees of tilt, 360 degrees of turn and 360 degrees of rotation — then locks all three together. The heavy-duty base clamps to a bench or shelf edge up to 3.4375 in (87.3 mm) thick and carries four non-marring neoprene pads so the clamp grips without needing to be overtightened against the work surface.
