About the 33-158 Stanley Measuring Tape
The Stanley 33-158 is a PowerLock-series pocket measuring tape with a 5 m (16 ft) blade, 19 mm (3/4 in) wide, graduated in both metric (centimetres) and imperial (sixteenths of an inch) units. The steel blade carries a Mylar polyester film coating that extends blade life, and remains rigid for an extended reach — Stanley quotes standout of up to 7 ft — before buckling. The case is chrome-finished high-impact ABS with a belt clip, and the signature PowerLock blade lock holds the blade at length without creeping. A Tru-Zero end hook compensates for its own thickness for accurate inside and outside measurements, and the hook is riveted to the blade on a metal plate to resist tearing off. The tape is rated to EC Class II accuracy.
